Rwandan troops patrol the streets of the almost destroyed northerneast city of Kisangani, Democratic Republic of Congo, 11 June 2000 just after the ceasefire agreement between the armies of Uganda and Rwanda. Bodies of dead soldiers lie on the streets, unattended, waiting to be buried. Six days of fighting between Rwandan and Ugandan troops in Kisangani left 160 people dead and 1.200 wounded. dpa
